We've got the phone on at last !

We've got the phone on at last, (it will also have a BT Openzone). I've plugged an answer machine in so please do feel free to start calling. I'm confident we'll be open on time, lots of work still to do but we'll get there.

All nights have some space at the moment. Opening night for dinner will be 25th June and for lunch from 23rd June. For more details see our website The Wild Garlic, there's an email link and phone number.

  1. Oh, I wish I could drive all the way down for opening night but it's midweek, I'm in London. Definite no go!

    But would LOVE to come sometime soon so will work out a weekend trip especially!

  6. Absolutely awesome Mat! Really happy that you have got this all together. I don't watch reality TV usually (don't have a TV), but when a friend told me a forager was on Masterchef I couldn't resist! So my OH and I watched religiously, whooping as you rose up the ranks to become Numero Uno. Fantastic to watch.

    I followed you through to the final of masterchef and am delighted to hear you are opening a restaurant.
    I gave up eating out without a guide as I have had so many disappointments. The Good Pub Guide was my salvation as I like an informal setting but high quality and that's a rare combination.
    I am thrilled that someone with your talent and flair is in business! In my experience if the food is good you'll have no trouble getting those regulars.

  18. Hi ..I am really pleased things are going well for you. I hope you will put the rabbit on the menu..but then I am a frenchy and we do not have this bunny phoebia.And good to have a wine expert..good food calls for good wine .I live In Switzerland..but hope to make it over to your restaurant.

  19. Hi Mat, just a quick note to say that we had an absolutely fantastic lunch today. I'd like to single something out, but all 6 of us had equally brilliant meals, so it would be unfair to (although the smoked mash was simply awesome!!). Well done, glad its all going so well. Rach and I will be back really soon (on the motorbike this time!!)
